Q: Who are Jordan's piano lessons for?

A: Jordan teaches students aged 14 and older, whether you're a complete beginner or at an intermediate level. Lessons are suitable for both casual learners and those who want to take their studies more seriously.

Q: What is Jordan's teaching philosophy for piano?

A: Jordan believes learning piano should be enjoyable, and students should have a say in the music they learn. He'll suggest pieces, but also work with you to find a balance with repertoire you're excited about. Lessons will also include technique exercises (like scales and arpeggios) to build your playing facility.

Q: What will I learn in beginning piano lessons?

A: You can expect to learn how to read music, play chords and melodies, develop your ear (aural skills), and master effective practice techniques to continue improving even outside of lessons.

Q: Do I need a piano at home?

A: Yes, having a piano or keyboard at home is essential for consistent practice and quick skill development.

Q: What kind of instrument do I need?

A: While an acoustic piano is ideal, an electric keyboard is perfectly acceptable, as accessibility is important.

Q: Will I need to purchase books or materials?

A: Yes, specific method books and materials will be chosen based on your individual level and learning pace.

Q: What is the lesson length and frequency?

A: Lessons are offered on a weekly basis and can be either 60 or 90 minutes in duration, depending on your preference and goals.

Q: Where are lessons held?

A: Piano lessons are conducted in-person at Jordan's home in Longmont, Colorado. Lessons may be held at the student's home for a dollar-per-minute transportation fee, provided the student is located in Boulder County.

Q: How much do lessons cost?

A: Tuition is set at one dollar per minute of instruction. Payment can be made via cash, Venmo, or check. Venmo and cash are preferred.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the full lesson fee. However, you are welcome to reschedule a lesson within the same week at no additional charge, provided it's done with sufficient notice.​
